Our Story
Anchored in Joy is the passion project of Providence native, Molly McBride. Anchored in Joy fosters a message of allyship, love, acceptance, and kindness in the community by supporting LGBTQIA+ youth.
Anchored in Joy aims to enrich the lives & foster more positive mental health outcomes for our community's LGBTQIA+ youth.

Building Community Together
LQBTQIA+ youth are 5-8 times more likley to have suicidal ideations than their straight peers. However, building a community of affirming and supportive peers and adults can significantly reduce those risks. Through Anchored in Joy, we aim to promote and build a community that ensures ALL youth, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity reach adulthood and can thrive, anchored in the joy that comes with living authentically.
